Ane Arce

Ane Arce combines professional projects with research and editorial activities. Her research projects has been recognized by BIA FORUM, COAVN or Bilbao City Council.

In 2016 she directed Bilbao Architecture Week activities organized by Arkupe.

In 2018 she was the Content director of Bia International Forum organized by COAVN Bizkaia.

In parallel to her research work, she has been developing his professional practice since 2014, collaborating with Tecnalia in modular dwelling solutions and dutch office Bureau Sla.

In 2015 she founded with Iñigo Berasategui BEAR.

BEAR is an office based in Bilbao that explores the possibilities of architecture as a discursive practice, between 18-21 operated as AZAB. The office combines projects of various types and scales, obtaining recognitions in EGURTEK awards, ARQUIA, BEAU and other local and international institutions. The result of his work has been widely published in high impact journals and websites. 


In 2019 she was awarded with Peña Ganchegui Prize recognizing her practice as the best Young Basque Architectecture

In May 2022 BEAR was selected in the Ecosistemas.zip exhibition as one of the 10 most promising young studios in Spain.
