Íñigo Berasategui

Graduated Architect (2013) at the University of Navarre, Spain, where he was graduated with distinction in his final Project. Ane Arce combines professional projects with research and editorial activities. His research projects has been recognized by BIA FORUM, COAVN or Bilbao City Council. In 2016 he directed Bilbao Architecture Week activities organized by Arkupe. In 2018 he was the Content director of Bia International Forum organized by COAVN Bizkaia. In 2020 and 2022 participated as researcher in Urbanbat Congress activities and books. In parallel to her research work, he has been developing his professional practice since 2013, collaborating with different offices as Francisco Mangado or Luis Maria Uriarte. In 2015 he founded with Ane Arce Urtiaga BEAR. BEAR is an office based in Bilbao that explores the possibilities of architecture as a discursive practice, between 18-21 operated as AZAB. The office combines projects of various types and scales, obtaining recognitions in EGURTEK awards, ARQUIA, BEAU and other local and international institutions. The result of his work has been widely published in high impact journals and websites. 
 In 2019 he was awarded with Peña Ganchegui Prize recognizing his practice as the best Young Basque Architecture. In May 2022 BEAR was selected in the Ecosistemas.zip exhibition as one of the 10 most promising young studios in Spain.
